Q: What kind of business is a SSAS suitable for?
A: The great news is that SSASs are available to, and specifically design for, SMEs with 11 directors or less – that means you don’t need to be a multi-national corporation to take advantage of the benefits that come with a SSAS.
However, SSASs are limited to trading Limited companies or LLP’s, unfortunatley they are not for sole traders or partnerships.
Q: How does the process get started?
A: If you think you may want to set up and use a SSAS, we arrange either an introductory phone call or face to face meeting where you can ask any questions, and we can find out more about your business and its ambitions. After that, assuming its appropriate and a SSAS will meet your requirments we create a proposal for you to consider.
Q: Are SSASs the same for all businesses?
A: We either have single member (i-SSAS) or multi member SSAS. However, the SSAS has many features and how it is used will vary from client to client depending on their circumstances
Q: How does the pricing work? Will this cost me a lot?
A: The key thing to know about our pricing structure is that we don’t believe in a ‘budget airline’ approach, which presents itself as great value initially, but ends up bumping up the cost with added extras.
Our pricing works in that after the set up we have a basic annual fee to cover the everyday compliance function that your SSAS requires – then, we have a modular menu for our one-off additional services.
This means you only pay for what you need, when you need it, keeping your costs as low as possible.
Q: What kind of support do you offer once the scheme is set up?
A: After we set up your SSAS, you don’t have to go it alone.
We act as a Professional Trustee to help you the decisions you need to make. Our team are experts in business pensions and not only help you every step of the way in setting up your scheme, but are with you throughout the duration of your SSAS to provide guidance to ensure you stay within HMRC guidelines.
WE don’t provide you with investment advice ( we are not regulated to do that) however, we can advise which investments are acceptable to the SSAS
We’re always just at the end of a phonecall –whatever support you need with your pension, you can count on SSASCo to deliver.
